Mr Rohit Shetty is a distinguished consultant orthopaedic surgeon who has made significant contributions to the field of complex spinal surgery. His areas of expertise include spinal surgery, back pain, neck pain, spinal osteoporosis, sciatica, and lumbar herniated disc. 

Mr Shetty graduated from Manipal University in India in 1995 before obtaining his master’s degree in trauma and orthopaedic surgery in 1997. Currently, Dr Rahman serves as a consultant in general and stroke medicine and acts as the pathway lead for cryptogenic stroke at Darent Valley Hospital, where he has practised since 2019. He is also the clinical lead for Virtual ward and Hospital at home service and has wider involvement in the local integrated care board and its plan of establishing a Single Point of Access pathway for the region.
 
His commitment to medical education is also evident, through his roles as an honorary senior clinical lecturer at King's College London and a clinical lecturer and academic tutor for the Kent and Midway Medical Schools. Mr Paul Halliwell is an expert consultant orthopaedic surgeon in Guildford who specialises in the ankle and foot, including in paediatrics. At his NHS and private clinics, Mr Halliwell focuses on accurate diagnosis and careful explanation. In 2001, Mr Halliwell was appointed as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at Royal Surrey County Hospital. Due to the nature of his extensive training and practice experience, in 2003 Mr Halliwell began developing a special interest in total ankle replacement, which he continues to perform regularly. Mr Halliwell is one of the few surgeons in the UK who performs this procedure at high-volume with 20 to 30 per year, some of which are complex reconstructions.

Mr Halliwell is an avid teacher. He contributes routinely to national programmes, as well as organising and teaching on national and international surgical training courses. He teaches ankle replacement to surgical trainees and consultants across the UK and Europe. When teaching students, trainees and peers, Mr Halliwell emphasises a holistic, "human" approach to patient care.

At a national level, Mr Halliwell has been elected President of his national speciality body, the British Orthopaedic Food and Ankle Society, for the year 2022-23. Previously, he has been Chairman of the BOFAS Outcomes Committee from 2014 to 2021 and an FRCS (Tr & Orth) examiner.

Published in multiple peer-reviewed journals, Mr Halliwell has accomplished works on various topics including tibial fractures, hand injuries, and ankle arthritis networks in addition to computerised surgical data collection. For his work on brain development during his BSc year, ankle fractures, spine fractures, and fractures of the acetabulum, Mr Halliwell has been awarded several awards, prizes and podium presentations.

Mr Shahab Siddiqi is a well-regarded consultant surgeon based in Essex, who specialises in colorectal surgery and pelvic floor surgery. Mr Siddiqi qualified from St George’s Hospital Medical School in 1993, before completing specialist training in general and colorectal surgery at the North Thames Deanery. He also undertook a pelvic floor fellowship at Castle Hill Hospital, Hull and a laparoscopic surgery fellowship at Waikato Hospital in Hamilton, New Zealand. His research into methods to improve detection of the spread of colorectal cancer to the lymph glands using genetic techniques at the Royal London Hospital earned him an MD from the University of London in 2008.

Mr Siddiqi now serves as the lead surgeon for pelvic floor surgery in the Department of General Surgery, also practising privately at Springfield Hospital. He is an honorary senior lecturer at Anglia Ruskin University and is still involved in a number of research projects. He is currently using his expertise in robotic surgery to help develop new surgical treatment methods for other colorectal diseases, like rectal cancer.

Dr Rhys Evans is a highly experienced and esteemed associate professor of renal medicine and consultant nephrologist at the UCL Centre for Kidney and Bladder Health, Royal Free Hospital. He specialises in acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, electrolyte disorders (tubular kidney diseases), hypertension, kidney infections and kidney transplantation, and currently practises at the Cromwell Hospital, the Royal Free London Private Patients Unit, and St John and St Elizabeth Hospital.

He has sub-speciality expertise in transplantation, including donor and recipient assessment, as well as all aspects of post-transplant care. He is the deputy lead of the UCL Centre for Transplantation and is principal investigator on a number of clinical trials. He also has sub-specialty expertise in the management of patients with inherited and acquired tubular kidney diseases, including unexplained electrolyte disorders, and helps run the clinical service of the London Tubular Centre.

Dr Evans is an academic clinician with a diverse research portfolio. He was awarded a PhD from UCL for translational work investigating the impact of salt on the immune system during which he provided the first description of immunodeficiency in patients with inherited salt-losing tubulopathies. He continues to investigate changes in immunity in patients with tubular kidney disease and hypertension.

He was awarded the UCL Oliver Wrong Prize for an outstanding contribution to Renal Physiology research in 2021 and is a member of the British Transplant Society and the International Society of Nephrology but to mention a few. His other focus is aimed at improving the care of patients with kidney disease in low-resource settings, which he has done in a number of different countries worldwide.

He has previously worked as a clinical lecturer at the University of Malawi and has published widely on the epidemiology of kidney disease in Africa and novel tools to detect it. He has a friendly approach to medicine and strongly believes in shared decision making with patients and their families.
